The Royal College Old Hostellers Association (ROCOHA) successfully hosted the 3rd edition of its annual ROCOHA 6’s – Cricket Carnival & Family Fiesta on Saturday, 19th July 2025, at the Bloomfield Grounds, Colombo 07.
What began as a friendly cricket encounter among past hostellers has now become one of ROCOHA’s most anticipated annual events, bringing together old friends, families, and the true spirit of Royal camaraderie.
This year’s tournament was a perfect blend of competitive cricket and festive celebration, featuring three age categories — Below 35, 35–50, and Over 50. With over a dozen teams representing hostellers from the 1980s to the 2020s, the tournament showcased talent, sportsmanship, and brotherhood at its best.
While the players battled it out on the field, families enjoyed a vibrant Carnival atmosphere complete with:

🧒 A dedicated kids’ play area
🍔 Delicious food stalls
🍺 A lively beer garden
🎉 And a thrilling after-party to wrap up the day in style!
The event drew a crowd of over 500 participants, including players, spouses, children, and supporters — all united by their shared connection to Royal College Hostel life. It was truly a reunion beyond generations, where laughter and memories echoed as much as the sound of leather on willow.
