A guest lecture by Professor Dr. Namal Wijesinghe (RCH 86) was held on Thursday, 22nd April at 7:00 PM at the hostel dining hall. It was a simple yet engaging event, with an interactive session that was well enjoyed by all participants.
Professor Dr. Namal Wijesinghe is a distinguished Sri Lankan cardiologist and academic, currently serving as a Professor of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU).
Following the lecture, a special ceremony was held to hand over a set of books donated by Mr. Nalaka Weragama (RCH Group of 1997), an old hosteller currently living in Australia. The books were officially presented to the Warden by ROCOHA President Mr. Anuradha Kiralawella and committee member Mr. Anjana Rathnaweera from the 1997 group.
Afterwards, the New Year gifts were distributed to the hostel employees in appreciation of their service.
The event was attended by Prof. Namal Wijesinghe, ROCOHA President Mr. Anuradha Kiralawella, Vice President Mr. Nalaka Hettiarachchi, Secretary Mr. Sankha Ranadheera, Treasurer Mr. Viraj Lakmal, committee member Mr. Anjana Rathnaweera, Warden Mr. Janaka Jayasinghe, as well as hostel prefects and fellow hostellers.
